Abstract

This article deals with sources of law in the legal systems of England and the USA. Both countries are the basis of the Anglo-American legal system. The sources of law of both have common foundations, the most important of which are the precedents. Precedent here effectively works together with other sources of law. A brief description of the sources of law in the Anglo-American legal system can serve as a model for the gradual integration of other sources into the continental legal system, which here only play a supporting role to the law.
